Are you a college gaming society who’s interested in coming to Leprecon this year? Then read on!
A couple of years ago, Leprecon (and a handful of other college cons) ran an Intervarsity, which was a great way to get societies together from across Ireland when funding wouldn’t otherwise allow. Well this year we’re doing it again! Going to events in Dublin definitely isn’t cheap, but hopefully this should help; if you get in contact with you whoever manages your funding, they should be easily able to help you cover some of the costs for a trip to a competitive event.
The Rules for the Leprecon 43 Cook Off! are as follows:
- Societies can submit teams of 8 people to participate in the Intervarsity (though of course, you can bring as many people as you like).
- For each board game one of your team members win in which another universities Intervarsity team member was playing, you get 1 point.
- For each Best Player Award one of your team members win in an RPG or LARP, you get 1 point.
- For each game of Magic: the Gathering one of your team members win in which another universities Intervarsity team member was playing, you get 1 point.
- For each Battletech match or Wargame Demo one of your team members plays in, you get 1 point.
- The winner of the Intervarsity will of course receive An Amazing Prize™ and the honour of saying they’re the best gaming society in the country.
